Lath Boxes and Table Tops!

It's that time of year once again! Friends and family gather sharing laughter, love and yummy traditional foods around the table. We here at Beekeeper's Cottage in Leesburg, Virginia offer a wonderful way to create fabulous table-scapes using lath boxes and hobnail jars.

Our lath, which means thin wood, is reclaimed from tobacco barns and fashioned into various sized boxes from 12" to 32". Standing just 5" tall and 7" wide, they provide the perfect foundation for all kinds of rustic elegance! Here we've added votive candles tucked in hobnail jars with epsom salt bottoms. Then to bring out the season, we've dressed the box with sprigs of holiday greenery. So festive!

Found Some FABULOUS Hardwood Flooring!!

I just had Lumber Liquidator's Tobacco Road handscraped engineered Hardwood installed on two floors of my home. It has a vintage feel with its lovely variations in color and provides a magnificent backdrop for all kinds of décor.
Lumber Liquidators, from the 1-800 support staff to the local store personnel in Leesburg, Virginia were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable!
Here's my dog Shane checking it out. :-)

Reclaimed Barnwood Furniture Wows!

Do you ever watch Property Brothers on HGTV??  They're always coming up with ways to make a home functional and beautiful. Creating dream homes out of fixer-uppers! I'm watching that show right now and looking around my own cute cottage! Ummmmmm....

Winter always gives me an opportunity to cozy into my home and entertain friends and fanciful decorating ideas. Layers of clothing and sturdy boots are everyday apparel for this snowy season. How to store mittens, hats, scarves and wooly gear for drying and easy access for outdoor adventure is a must! This fabulous reclaimed barnwood mudroom bench cupboard is a perfect solution!

We're so proud! Here's background on our gorgeous collection.
This historic collection is made from hand crafted and individually finished reclaimed lumber, ranging from 80 to 200 years old, gathered all throughout New England. Each piece of aged lumber is unique with natural imperfections such as cracks, nail holes, and warping. Intentionally left untouched to capture the beauty, charm, and patina of the reclaimed wood; every piece of furniture different and distinguished. The wood may vary in color as the reclaimed lumber comes from different parts of the country and has varying ages; the older the wood, the darker it will appear. Our collection is made in the USA with love and pride. Because each piece is made to order we can customize any piece to fit your design project requirements. Please allow 6-8 weeks lead time.
